Time keeps flying, like birds in flocks
Across the mountains, fields and rocks
O’er meadows wide midst giant hills
With rapid rivers, rushing rills
How wonderful to hear the sound
Of nature spreading all around
Be sure, our God is always there
To save each from this dark despair
Oh blesséd Lord, You do not fail
And with Your help, all will avail!
Hypocrisy is all around
It emanates up from the ground
And fills the world with poison air
To propagate our great despair
How little do we know or mind
Of all the history we find ?
The whole truth is what all should crave
If we are to be strong and brave
Can we survive this huge attack
When will we have our honor back ?
The future’s grim, misunderstood
Without God’s love there’s nothing good !
Our tears are flowing down like rain
With cheeks pressed hard on window pane
Each throat is tight and cannot breathe
And struggles hard to find relief.
The madness now does seize us all
From sources which demand our fall
Our hearts are dying one by one
When will this agony be done ?
This land of beauty and great wealth
Our citadel of strength and health
Is under seige by evil force
Oh Captain, do reverse this course !
Now I have had a thousand dreams
And planned at least a hundred schemes
I’ve wished perhaps five hundred more
Before I close life’s final door.
I’ve tried so hard to not pretend
That I know how my days will end
Ere I have had the time to leave
Instructions as to how you grieve.
Remember me please, If you do
But only of my love for you
I can not ask for some thing more
Except, my dear, just one encore !
The wind blows wild and plays a song
I’d like to learn to hum along,
It isn’t hard to sing a tune
With words that rhyme like June and moon.
Such mirth it brings to wonder this
And to imagine youth’s first kiss,
I wish that I might be again
That girl I was away back when
The thrill of love and sweet romance
Could offer me a happy chance !
Lord help us to remember this
That life is not a hit or miss
Its purpose has been clearly known
And pathways have been rightly shown.
The way ahead may seem obscure
We need to know that road’s secure
Before we take our dreams to task
And of our God all favors ask !
My life is o’er, how fast it went
I wonder where my time’s been spent
It’s passing by too swiftly now
The cradle has long left the bough.
I shall not pass this way again,
Perhaps I may remember when
The days have gone or passed on by
Each full of smiles or tears we’ve cried.
Oh how I wish that I would be
Some creature flitting, tree to tree
Who’s spent its life up in the air
Where only God and birds may share !
See sunlight streaming through the trees
While leaves are swaying in the breeze
The morning air’s so fresh and cool
The rising sun shines like a jewel
Oh what a great day this will be
A gift from our own Diety,
God bless us all as we arise
Let’s pray this day’s full of surprise !
The pain is real and so intense
What shall I do for my defense
Oh blessed Lord reach out to me
And grant me some immunity
My faith is strong what shall I do
To prove that I believe in You ?
I’ve made the best of what I’ve got
And know this is my final shot
Please help me Lord to find some peace
As from this place I beg release !
AMEN.
There is a sound that I can hear
It seems to whisper in the ear
Is it the wind that steals about
With soft whispers and ne’er a shout ?
What must I do to make it clear
That God’s rebuke is all I fear ?
A simple thought just for today
That we mean everything we say
The truth is what this world’s about
Because of this we have no doubt.
The lies are but another ploy
Of all the tricks humans employ
To twist and turn each form of strife
Into an enemy for life.
How sad that we perchance forget
Too many days spent in regret !
We’re standing in a line where we must wait
Tis not a journey we anticipate
The day is not too sunny nor too cool
Nor meant to be a space for fake or fool
So here we stand before God’s final gate
And wonder how much longer is the date
Before we enter into paradise
Where we’ll no longer suffer Satan’s lies !
What is it that I’m searching for
Will I unearth the hidden door
That leads to God’s exotic place
Wherein one finds His secret space ?
Thus live my life without the pain
Of losing those I love again
Seek help from God high on His perch
Beg Him to aid me in my search !
We view our lives through tainted eyes
Because this world is bathed in lies
Real faith exists in truth alone
Since hearts of men oftimes are stone.
Though many strong are honor bred
While others bask in shade instead,
How sad that we discover late
Powers we hold o’er our own fate !
Tis the time of year when sunshine smiles
And the sky is so clear for miles and miles,
When the birds in the branches of the trees
Circulate their message into the breeze
While the gentle wind does rustle the leaves
Now playing in the shadow of the eaves.
The trees seem to yawn and stretch in the sun
As spreading shrubs have their flowers begun
So it is that our world of growing green
Paints pictures to all of beauty obscene !
When I was small I chose to be
A child of God, inspired and free
I’ve loved the Lord my whole life through
My faith in God’s been tried and true.
I’ve prayed so hard that I might find
A key that would one day unwind
The path to peace and heaven’s gate
Dear Lord, I hope it’s not too late !
What is this madness that we face
That’s taking up our total space
There is great danger spreading here
A danger that we all must fear.
Beware, because the Devil’s come
He is destroying everyone
This is a warning that’s come late
When ever will this hate abate ?
Oh Blessed Lord, we beg You please
Observe Your children on their knees
Reach out to all who are in pain
To save them from this world insane !
The tide flows in all swift and fleet
And almost knocks me off my feet
The water moves at a quick pace
And comes and goes with ne’er a trace
It makes no sound as it moves on
But silent, seeks its echelon.
For all we know, what do we see
One’s vision of sobriety
Hold on, hold on, do not let go
God’s beside us, this is His show !
There is a world that waits for me
Somewhere across God’s great blue sea
A place where anger can’t exist
And only kindness does persist.
But I’m not sure if I can wait
To make the journey to that Gate
Because my world is falling down
And crushing kindness to the ground.
What shall I do, how can this be
Is this the new heredity ?
Oh Gracious Lord, remember me
For only You can set me free !
There is this joy that mornings bring
The song of birds upon the wing
Their voices calling to their kin
An early morning checking in.
They chirp and croon familiar tunes
From breaking dawn through afternoons
Making each creature here belong
Though some are frail yet others strong
How wonderful that God’s so wise
He’s made His Own Bird Paradise !
What would You do to save us from
The storm we know is soon to come
How will You guard us, help us rise
Above this hell that’s in disguise ?
We need You now, teach us to care
That we may all Your wisdom share !
What is it we are waiting for
The peace of God to use our door,
To enter in and take the space
Reserved for His Eternal Grace ?
How can it be this world’s destroyed
And of all fairness, now devoid
While angels weep and rain their tears
Upon this place, too full of fears ?
Where do we turn to reach You, Lord
That we may be of one accord
Oh, dearest God please help us find
The path that to Your Heart unwinds !
Out of the quiet of the hour
Tis now the time for peace to flower
When angels rest the air turns still
So hope may shine upon yon hill
Thus power rests in present thought
Of all the lessons life has taught.
We need replace man’s lack of love
With kindness shared from God above,
Take heart and dream what life’s about
And learn to live with faith devout !
Now I have dreamt a dream or two
And spent a lifetime loving you
I’ve prayed and hoped we two would be
Together through eternity !
It seems each road shall have an end
Without a lover or a friend
The seasons change or pass away
And move on by, day after day
The stars above fade aft each night
And disappear in morning’s light.
The sun will break its fast at dawn
While we are left to carry on
How lonely that one lifetime seems
With out its history and dreams
As all pass into the oblique
Deserting every quest we seek !
Tis sad the problem we now face
As members of the human race
The pestilence has taken hold
Of world wide fear, exceeding bold
To cover all the good and kind
That we’d the power here to find.
So simple when we understand
That life is ruled by God’s command
Accept His judgement every day
His sense of justice and fair play !
Celestial bodies in the sky
All flash and wink in passing by
I wonder if they query why
No other objects fly so high !
There is a numbness that I feel
An emptiness that’s so unreal
Sensation lost and caring less
All part of my renewed distress
I am so weak, my strength is gone
Great effort just to carry on.
Oh how I wish to stronger be
And stand up to adversity
Perhaps one day I’ll find success
With God to teach me all the rest !
