Celestial bodies in the sky
All flash and wink in passing by
I wonder if they query why
No other objects fly so high !
Celestial bodies in the sky
All flash and wink in passing by
I wonder if they query why
No other objects fly so high !
Tan, orange, yellow, brown and umber too
Fall colors all just waiting there for you
Their happy faces laughing all the while
So full of zest and sporting lots of style
Thank you dear Lord above, how did you know
What treasure grand these autumn leaves would show ?
The rain is falling to the ground
It’s drip, drip, dripping all around
I watch the branches of the trees
Blowing gently with each new breeze
There is a sweet smell in the air
Flowering cherry, oh so fair.
The outer limbs sway fore and aft
Crowding blossoms upon each shaft
Millions of petals, what a sight
Precious flowers in pink or white !
This foggy veil now drifting down
Into the haze that hugs the ground
With winds that shift without a sound
And misty showers all around,
Light spray obscuring each surround
Midst floating clouds with haloes crowned
These are the sights sure to be found
As we melt into God’s playground !
The snow drifts down to coat the ground
There’s not a spot left to be found
Without its masquerade of white
That glows and sparkles in the night.
The stars above shine clear and bright
They cast their luminescent light
And hearken to the crystal sound
As frozen flakes swirl all around !
