This pain I feel, unending bad
So far the worst of what I’ve had
I don’t know how to stop the ache
It’s all too real, no space for fake.
Somehow I have to clear my mind
And beg of God, His peace to find
What is the next that I must do
I need a moment to think through.
The road ahead is blank and dim
I can’t proceed, not without Him
I’m lost alone without a cure
The end draws near of this I’m sure
God is my anchor tried and true
To Him, I’ll be one of His crew !
There is a trip that I need take
One that I wish I might forsake
However love, I’ve no recourse
And no way left to try outsource.
This trip is mine alone to brave
With no time left for me to save
It is my choice the last one too
Before I bid goodbye to you.
The sadness is not mine alone
To all who are a lifetime known
For we shall part while we are friends
Until so sad, all friendship ends !
Lord save us from old Satan’s might
And guide us through each lonesome night
Protect us as we wend our way
From morning’s light till end of day
Forsake us not, we do believe,
We’re grateful for gifts we receive.
Lord, how much longer must we wait
To greet You at God’s Golden Gate ?
Oh how I wish that I might be
An apple on an apple tree
Or strawberries upon a plate
With breakfast served by half past eight.
Perhaps a glass of orange juice
Or portion of vanilla mousse
Oh how much fun that it would be
To eat whatever pleases me.
Now cookies, cake and things like that
Go pretty far to add some fat
So I’ll abstain best as I can
But I refuse to give up flan !
How many times we run away
From all the problems of the day
Or shut our eyes and close our ears
Escaping from a world of tears.
How wise that most chose to forget
Days of rejection or regret
We need remember by and by
That God is with us ere we die !
Nightshades have fallen, all is dark
Tree limbs above are bare and stark
There is this silence that abounds
As nature softens all her sounds.
Yet I can see stars in the sky
That clouds keep hiding from the eye
Oh how I wish that I could be
Some wise old owl perched in a tree
Who comprehends that hopes unwind
To help us each our dream to find !
Life dishes out a lot of stuff
Before too long we’ve had enough
The tides of time, sometimes too strong
Will somehow carry us along
To events we have never seen
Or places we have never been
I believe all peace doth linger
At the behest of God’s finger !
Whenever I think of the past
And ships that skimmed o’er oceans vast
They traversed round the world they knew
Adventurous, historic too.
Oh how I wish that I had known
This world before it was all grown
Think what a hoot it might have been
To be there when it did begin !
Sometimes this world gets in the way
We come and go, yet cannot stay
Or find a path to keep us free
From all of life’s complexity.
I’ve often wondered just how long
We’re all expected to be strong
It takes some bit of grit to see
The pathway to eternity !
Oh tell me Lord, where do I go
What is it that I need to know
How shall I carry on each day
Please help me Lord, show me the way.
With all my heart, I’m not afraid
You’ve taught me well, I made the grade
I’ve found my Comfort once again
My true Love and Forever Friend !
When I was young and full of vim
That was the time I first knew Him
It changed my life that very day
For I began to walk His way.
How simple it was, I did find
As He brought me such peace of mind
A strength I gathered from above
And power of His unflinching love !
Oh blessed Lord, I am so sad that I
One day will soon be forced to bid goodbye
And so to leave here with one fond farewell
Hence to the world our sad, sad story tell.
While all the dreams one dares to dream are due
We’re not without the help and care from You
We beg of You to trust each in this way
Thus join our hands and walk God’s path today !
The times are come, the words are said
The hope for peace too soon is dead
The evil that controls this earth
Is fighting now for all it’s worth.
The life we know from birth to grave
A gift from God, our souls to save
He does not fail, not ever still
For in the end, all do His will !
Oh little Lamb, I suffer so
Please tell me when it’s time to go
What I have done my whole life through
I pray has been enough for you.
Remember me aft I am gone
And know that You have been the One
Who’s kept me on Your righteous path
And brought me all the love I hath !
The world we’ve known waits outside the door
Where it may be what we’re praying for
A kindly word or a tender heart
To grace the day with a healthy start.
Outside the door where true life exists
Common sense should forever persist
For each needs the strength to carry on,
Passion to follow when hope is gone,
Then reach for the sky to touch a cloud
Praising the Lord and his power aloud !
Let’s raise our hopes for time to come
And praise the Lord for all He’s done
Thank God above for all His care
And willingness for us to share.
I’d like to think that God is near
To stifle every single fear
And keep us all upon our toes
Doing the best that each one knows !

I hear the words ringing in my ear
So soft and sweet and quite full of cheer
A great big smile and a happy face
One heart full of love none may erase
God bless us all and bring each one peace
And from life’s burdens help grant release
We need assistance to keep us free
Please lead us dear Lord to liberty !
Sometimes the ones we love the best
Are those who put us to the test
They try our patience or our purse
We’re never sure which is the worst.
We carry on with fingers crossed
And pray our purpose won’t be lost
No matter how hard it all seems
Rely on God to save our dreams !
We do not know through all these years
A time so full of angst and fears
Is this the war from days of old
That ages have this story told
The one the prophets have declared
For which we now must be prepared.
Whomever dreamt that we would be
Faced by this great calamity,
May God have mercy on our souls
Help us secure our end time goals !
Oh, for the days that were and are no more
And those paths that lead us to heaven’s door
May God be there to greet each as we come
With an open heart and the word welcome !
The steeple bells do loudly ring
As old familiar words we sing
To praise our Lord and those above
With boundless sounds of our true love
Accept this gift from us below
It is the way our faith we show !
Some days may start with smiles and grin
Before life’s problems do begin
Somehow we never seem to know
Which way each season’s wind will blow.
We take our chances, pray a lot
Make do the best with what we’ve got
Remember how the people care
The kindest are more prone to share.
Today the nation’s full of fools
Believing they make up the rules
And follow any path they choose
Without a threat of win or lose.
How sad that we are come to this
Peace destroyed by a ” Judas ” kiss !
Oh little lamb so pure and sweet
I lay my life here at your feet
If I should die before I wake
I beg You Lord, my soul please take
For it is Yours and all I own
Wherein the seeds of love are sown
And so my heart is witness to
This simple gift I offer You !

When I was sweet sixteen, long time ago
The world was all mine to worship and grow
I promised me that I’d try hard to be
The bestest girl that anyone could see.
I’d make my mark with the greatest of ease
Doing whatever it would take to please
Now life has come and gone with fewer dreams
Leaving me falling apart at the seams.
I’m sure that the Lord will always be there
To buck up my shoulders, teach me to care
While I’ve discovered after beaucoup years
To make peace with myself, dry up my tears
Cause it’s not the results that count at all
It’s whether you rise up after each fall !
The breaking dawn moves through the trees
Snowflakes do fly on chilling breeze
It’s time to bundle up today
And find a place that’s warm to stay.
The winter winds are brash and buff
And all made of God’s icy stuff
The season has turned rough and cold
As each day chances to grow old.
We all need keep our feet quite dry
If we are hoping to get by
Each day does bare it’s hoary breath
Take care, none dare to challenge death !
The heart gets worn and tired too
As through our lives we’ve much to do
When shall we find one day to spare
How can we make the time to care ?
We know that God is on our side
That’s brought about through love not pride
Lord help us please to understand
Show us our pleasure second-hand.
Grant us the power to make our choice
To use our heads, our hearts, our voice
How wonderful that it would be
To share in God’s posterity !
A tiny bit of heaven grows
In secret places no one knows
Sometimes a corner near a hedge
Or closeby at the garden’s edge
Under a pine tree by the fence
With smell of violets intense.
Around a tree stump you can see
Peat moss plays host to wild daisy
The dandelions tramp all about
While peonies their color flout,
Oh such a sight for all to see
And witness as God’s litany !
Trust is the factor we each need
If we’re expecting to succeed
As it’s required to understand
We clasp our hands across the land
For we can’t work together if
Between us still exists some rift
Let’s try once more, learn to agree
Achieving perfect harmony !
