My arms are full, my heart content
I make my way with God’s consent
If I should die with tasks undone
It doesn’t mean I haven’t won !
My arms are full, my heart content
I make my way with God’s consent
If I should die with tasks undone
It doesn’t mean I haven’t won !
I had a dream the other day
I dreamt the winter washed away
Oh what a joy and sweet surprise
There’s no more snow to greet the eyes !
Let’s on with rain and flowers bright
In colors that astound the sight
The bounty that the winter brings
Are vistas where God’s beauty sings !
There is a glory I’ve been told
That shares a story ever old
And rises from the depths below
To bring us pride and honor show.
Where is the one inspiring us
To deeds and words so glorious
Who gives us strength to carry on
Providing rules to lean upon ?
He is our Lord both kind and true
He’s King of all, both me and you!
I’m grateful that God’s given me
Some chance to share eternity
Though I’m not sure I’m ready yet
To take that path of no regret.
Remembering is part of me
How do I set my memory free ?
I’d rather not be left behind
Without a purpose I can find
I’d like to think I follow rules
In league with wisemen never fools
But most of all I dream to see
God’s blessed place so heavenly !
The bells ring out with such joyful sound
The bellmans feet scarce touch the ground
He performs the chore his very best
His effort seems to outdo the rest.
What a happy face he shows to God
As he pulls those cords so extra hard,
What a wond’rous place for us to be
To share this path to eternity !
The night is cool and the wind is swift
As the breezes spin and twirl and lift
Reaching far above the chimneys rise
Into the breach between earth and skies.
Where does it lead as we make our way
What will we do there, what can we say ?
Searching the hearts of one another
We’ve still wisdom left to uncover,
It’s crucial to pause when growing old
Keep images clear and courage bold
Accepting lifes role doing our best
Waiting in line, Gods ultimate test !
The wind here blows about my space
To sally forth and win the race
Twixt pollen bourne upon its breath
Or seeds escaping seasons death
Lest they should fall on fallow ground
Or humble niche there to be found.
The wind will winnow whence it blows
As far and wide its purpose grows
Winds cannot cease or go to sleep
There’s destiny that they need keep.
God is like the parent we all wish that we could be
He follows all our doings with sensitivity
And heals our damaged hearts with His loving faithful care
Teaching us hope and reason when we’ve learned how to share,
Like an earthly Father sometimes getting in the way
As He helps to save us from our problems day to day.
We must try to shadow all His footsteps if we can
Comprehending His true wisdom with the mind of man !
As the rain pours down
With a splashing sound
And the wind blows wild
Over branches piled
In the roadways path
Due to natures wrath
Where the torrents run
Till the storm is done
If you lift your eyes
To the troubled skies
You may sense God’s hand
At the helms command !
My God I have sensed your light touch and realize
That you’ve lifted the veil from my frail clouded eyes
The eyes of my mind and those that live in my heart
They needed the freedom to create a new start.
In this world of false idols and evil intent
This can’t be the true purpose our caring God meant
But we’ll endure the trial so long as it does last
And pray that our goal remains strong faithful and fast.
This world’s in chaos, panic lurking everywhere
Compelled to seek an exit safe into somewhere
Seeking hospice for the mind and burdened souls
To find relief for those lost and forgotten goals.
Will there be a pause in time to heal broken rules
For us to learn to save ourselves from mindless fools?
The cure we lack is knowledge of our history
Not understanding what has been or what can be
And so we mask what won’t afford to be revealed
Hence none will query why the truth must be concealed,
Since in this endless questing for reality
We’ve lost the godlike purpose of our destiny.
The swiftly graying darkly coursing sky
Does play upon my fickle inner eye
And bares a mystery both stark and bold
That speaks to me of long lost dreams untold.
These dreams I thought had flown so far away.
Yet seeming near, had somehow lost their way.
Some fringed and faded shadows left behind
Shedding aged reflection as they unwind
What had once been I recognised anew
And purpose wrought with aim and course so true.
The passion in my heart that won’t decline
A hungry yearning that I can’t define
The dreaming in my mind that cannot fade
A hard decision that I have not made
The longing in my soul that will not wane
A quest for meaning that I’ve failed to gain.
And there among the past that wastes away
Find sad remains of yet another day
One unknown force that placed the founding stone
Has willed this legacy to us alone.
There in the night with truth possessed and sown
Who by their fruits at last shall they be known.
