I’m so full of rememberings
All of the joys that childhood brings
With love and laughter by the score
That may live on forevermore.
How marvelous those dreams may be
A part of our heredity
A yearning for the days of yore
To be just whom we were before !
The shades of night are closing in
As skies outside now fade and dim
There is a hum that one can hear
The sound keeps whistling on the ear.
A silence overides the halls
While darkness of the night time falls
Somewhere a hush has settled down
As clicking heels reecho sound.
Hush, hear the rale of breathing now
God help me to survive somehow
The quiet of these empty halls
Until at last, destiny calls !
Love is the strength I lean upon
My faith, my hope, my carry on
Without the Lord where would I be
Alone in some lost company.
I never thought I’d spend my days
At last in one forgotten haze
The final exit left for me
Is labeled God’s eternity !
I love America, land of the free
I love America, tis home to me
As she spreads from the mountains to the plains
Replete with thunder storms and summer rains.
From her northern tips to the sandy shore
Cross the valleys deep and wide, trees galore
The beauty of this land entices all
Through winter, springtime, summer and the fall !
My journey’s long and lonesome too
The mind now questions what to do
My heart still beats and wonders why
The time has come to bid goodbye.
Of all the wishes I have known
Like all the seeds that I have sown
( Too many often blown away
Ne’er to return another day )
That struggled so thence to survive
God grant the will to all revive !
There is a trip that I need take
One that I wish I might forsake
However love, I’ve no recourse
And no way left to try outsource.
This trip is mine alone to brave
With no time left for me to save
It is my choice the last one too
Before I bid goodbye to you.
The sadness is not mine alone
To all who are a lifetime known
For we shall part while we are friends
Until so sad, all friendship ends !
Lord save us from old Satan’s might
And guide us through each lonesome night
Protect us as we wend our way
From morning’s light till end of day
Forsake us not, we do believe,
We’re grateful for gifts we receive.
Lord, how much longer must we wait
To greet You at God’s Golden Gate ?
How many times we run away
From all the problems of the day
Or shut our eyes and close our ears
Escaping from a world of tears.
How wise that most chose to forget
Days of rejection or regret
We need remember by and by
That God is with us ere we die !
Oh tell me Lord, where do I go
What is it that I need to know
How shall I carry on each day
Please help me Lord, show me the way.
With all my heart, I’m not afraid
You’ve taught me well, I made the grade
I’ve found my Comfort once again
My true Love and Forever Friend !
Oh blessed Lord, I am so sad that I
One day will soon be forced to bid goodbye
And so to leave here with one fond farewell
Hence to the world our sad, sad story tell.
While all the dreams one dares to dream are due
We’re not without the help and care from You
We beg of You to trust each in this way
Thus join our hands and walk God’s path today !
The times are come, the words are said
The hope for peace too soon is dead
The evil that controls this earth
Is fighting now for all it’s worth.
The life we know from birth to grave
A gift from God, our souls to save
He does not fail, not ever still
For in the end, all do His will !
The world we’ve known waits outside the door
Where it may be what we’re praying for
A kindly word or a tender heart
To grace the day with a healthy start.
Outside the door where true life exists
Common sense should forever persist
For each needs the strength to carry on,
Passion to follow when hope is gone,
Then reach for the sky to touch a cloud
Praising the Lord and his power aloud !
Let’s raise our hopes for time to come
And praise the Lord for all He’s done
Thank God above for all His care
And willingness for us to share.
I’d like to think that God is near
To stifle every single fear
And keep us all upon our toes
Doing the best that each one knows !
AMEN.
Sometimes the ones we love the best
Are those who put us to the test
They try our patience or our purse
We’re never sure which is the worst.
We carry on with fingers crossed
And pray our purpose won’t be lost
No matter how hard it all seems
Rely on God to save our dreams !
Oh, for the days that were and are no more
And those paths that lead us to heaven’s door
May God be there to greet each as we come
With an open heart and the word welcome !
The steeple bells do loudly ring
As old familiar words we sing
To praise our Lord and those above
With boundless sounds of our true love
Accept this gift from us below
It is the way our faith we show !
Oh little lamb so pure and sweet
I lay my life here at your feet
If I should die before I wake
I beg You Lord, my soul please take
For it is Yours and all I own
Wherein the seeds of love are sown
And so my heart is witness to
This simple gift I offer You !

When I was sweet sixteen, long time ago
The world was all mine to worship and grow
I promised me that I’d try hard to be
The bestest girl that anyone could see.
I’d make my mark with the greatest of ease
Doing whatever it would take to please
Now life has come and gone with fewer dreams
Leaving me falling apart at the seams.
I’m sure that the Lord will always be there
To buck up my shoulders, teach me to care
While I’ve discovered after beaucoup years
To make peace with myself, dry up my tears
Cause it’s not the results that count at all
It’s whether you rise up after each fall !
The heart gets worn and tired too
As through our lives we’ve much to do
When shall we find one day to spare
How can we make the time to care ?
We know that God is on our side
That’s brought about through love not pride
Lord help us please to understand
Show us our pleasure second-hand.
Grant us the power to make our choice
To use our heads, our hearts, our voice
How wonderful that it would be
To share in God’s posterity !
Trust is the factor we each need
If we’re expecting to succeed
As it’s required to understand
We clasp our hands across the land
For we can’t work together if
Between us still exists some rift
Let’s try once more, learn to agree
Achieving perfect harmony !
The earth is full of rocks and stones
Of valleys, caves, forgotten bones
The lakes, the oceans that astound
Hillsides and mountains all around.
The wind, the surf, the morning breeze
That ripples cross rivers and seas
This paradise of God’s invent
Are visions of His heaven sent !
How many mountains have I climbed
When life was young and so inclined
There were such hopes those years did hold
Excitement strong and action bold.
The times have shown all that has changed
As deeds have consequence long-ranged
A lesson learned must not be lost
Each chance we take does have its cost !
Now I’ve loved God my whole life through
Without my faith what would I do ?
The sum of all the good one does
And past visions of what once was
Are the reasons to carry on
When it appears all hope is gone
Let’s take a chance with one last try
Before time fades into goodbye !
Here I am bundled up to the chin
While the north wind struggles to slip in
The air is so cold, it feels like ice
Thank God my boots are so warm and nice.
I’m not too fond of old winter’s chill
And admit it brings me little thrill
I pray we’ll make it straight through to spring
When the world around begins to sing
And all of life does rebirth anew
With both heart and soul and voices too
Let us take our joy where e’er we may
And live to complain another day !
My words are so piled up inside
I cannot find a place to hide
Sometimes I think I will explode
If I should drop this heavy load.
But who am I to judgement make
About what will or will not break
How’d I manage to live so long
Without the lyrics of the song ?
This God I love does understand
And led me thus far by the hand
He’s taught me all the rules I know
My true Rock and Safe Place to go !
This heart of mine could use a rest
It’s tired of being second best
No matter what I say or do
The verdict is it’s up to you.
I’d like to believe life is fair
And second chances are not rare
But you and I, we live with facts
We’ve done the job, performed the acts.
Too sad to think ’twas not enough
To keep one’s head when going’s rough
Throughout my life I tried so hard
To keep my actions close to God !
The days keep folding into night
Obscuring everything in sight
Each dawn awaits the fading dark
Like spring anticipates the lark
For winter comes but once the year
To bring us all its Christmas cheer
Lets face our fears and try to fly
On wings of hope ere we shall die !
Turn on the lights, the dark is here
It is that dismal time of year
After the harvest and the fall
Winter becomes the king of all.
Since we are captive to its power
Day after day, and hour by hour
To learn the lesson is a must
If we are e’er to earn His trust !
