I’d like to spend my time imagining
What life is all about and reason why
The Lord decided it was smart planning
And gave us choices to help make us try !
I’d like to spend my time imagining
What life is all about and reason why
The Lord decided it was smart planning
And gave us choices to help make us try !
Our world is full of so many things
Like flightless birds and squirrels with wings
Plants that eat insects and fish that fly
All a gift from our God up on high.
A pattern of perfect He has planned
Covering oceans, skies and all land
Aren’t we lucky He’s so intense
And Master of all of life’s events !
I hear a sound, I think it’s rain
It pings against my window pane
Each droplet falling one by one
Like staccato echoes everyone
The drip, drip, dripping that I hear
Sounds like a trumpet on my ear
Crescendo rising to its peak
With no one there who dares to speak
The silence of the night is lost
There’s no one left to count the cost !
I can’t imagine what to think
The world we knew is on the brink
The powers that be are paralyzed
Too many here are traumatized.
We’re in a bind and can’t get out
No matter how we rale or shout
So sad that time’s not on our side
When we have issues to decide.
Let’s run our goals on super fast
And pray that God will help it last
We need peace now, make no mistake
Whate’er we do, win, lose or break !
The Christmas stars are in the sky
They last from August through July
They twinkle bright and travel round
Their numbers grow and do abound
I find my curiousity
Increases with all that I see.
If only I were oh so smart
Instead of thinking with my heart
Perhaps I could then understand
How this old world was built so grand !
My heart has wings, my spirit flies
Today will be a bright surprise
The air is sweet, the sky is clear
I know the grace of God is here.
So long ago on one dark day
Great plans were crushed and cast away
But rose again in truth to tell
This prophecy we all know well !
Across the mighty mountains and
Wild rushing streams that thread the land,
We have promised we shall follow
No matter where that path may go !
Like Ruth of olden days allowed
In truth, she would not join the crowd
But traveled to that foreign place
Pursuing life in God’s embrace.
Now know the joys she’s brought to us
Without her choice, where is Jesus ?
