Too often I have had the thought
That in a vicious web we’re caught
Our world, tis true, is upside down
And turned our smiles into a frown,
How shall we get our laughter back
We need to find the proper track.
The madness grows day after day
Why can’t we filch its power away,
Perhaps we’ll have to wait in line
To learn if this will turn out fine !
I wish, I wish I had the words
To tell the crowd how to become
A connosieur of the absurd
Or prophecy of dumb and numb.
This world grows smaller day by day
And madness has now grown a voice
I wish that I could run away
Or help dear God to find a choice !
Close up the door turn out the light
The fire rages through the night
The world is mad it’s lost its way
There’s nothing more that one can say.
The mob has turned into the norm
Their anger has become the storm
Like Sodom was so long ago
The story told, who does not know.
Why have all been so very blind
There is no answer left to find
It’s too late now life’s gone astray
The end is here you’ve had your day.
Begin again as all must do
With millions gone there will be few !
