The heart gets worn and tired too
As through our lives we’ve much to do
When shall we find one day to spare
How can we make the time to care ?
We know that God is on our side
That’s brought about through love not pride
Lord help us please to understand
Show us our pleasure second-hand.
Grant us the power to make our choice
To use our heads, our hearts, our voice
How wonderful that it would be
To share in God’s posterity !
The air is sweet with salted breath
It rises from the ocean’s depth
The summer storms have blown away
And left us this vacation day
The wind has slipt among the trees
Suggesting life is well at ease.
Some days are perfect, some are not
Some days remembered, some forgot
I hope one day to chance recall
That moment summer morphed to fall !
