Man cannot live without a dream
Believing elsewise is extreme
How difficult without a cause
Our lives are dull and lack applause
There is a vision all do need
To raise each up, to help succeed
We have a God, be not afraid
He is our Friend, our Help, our Aid
And in the end when life seems done
Tis when our journey’s just begun !
I see the clouds caught in the trees
They all seem frozen in the breeze
Oh how I wish that I could try
To touch their fluff while passing by
But heaven is so far away
Is it a space where angels play ?
I guess that I will never know
If it’s a place I’d like to go
There is so much right here to see
It might just take eternity
Appears I have more time, it seems
To gather up forgotten dreams !
When I was small and but a child
I spoke in manner sweet and mild
Twas not a time of angry ways
For kindness dwelt in all our days.
We spared each other any pain
Determined to help and explain
Our words displayed the constant grace
Of honesty while face to face.
How clever that our role should be
To echo God’s integrity
And live with honor all our days
To seek God’s love and sing His Praise !
My dearest child, I miss your voice
I know there is no other choice
In times as these we need be strong
To caution’s cause we must belong
Be kind to those who’ve tried so hard
To keep the faith and walk with God
Remember always to be fair
That of God’s bounty all may share
Please grant us peace day after day
Help each to follow in His way !

The winter winds blow far and near
I hear the sounds upon my ear
Windows rattle, panes gather frost
I hope my woolies won’t get lost.
The icy branches crackle so
Beware to those who pass below
The limbs of trees all striking bare
Does leave no warmth for all to share.
Oh winter, have you come to stay
I’m wishing that you’ll go away
With all the troubles that we see
Let’s pray that we remain snow free !
The sun is rising o’er the hill
The air is motionless and still
There’s not a breeze stirs in the trees
As if the day’s caught in a freeze
The room is silent and alone
A truly antiseptic zone.
Oh how I wish that I could fly
Up to a haven in the sky
But guess that I may only dream
Of my unrealistic scheme
Oh Lord above, help me to find
Some safety and true peace of mind !
Oh see the wind rage through the trees
Like rolling waves on angry seas
Above those masts that rise so high
As giant arms reach for the sky
They swing and sway to touch each cloud
While seagulls screech and cry aloud.
Give me the strength to pass the test
And courage to survive the rest
How many dreams have come and gone
That we have pinned our hopes upon
To find at last we shall succeed
Because our love exceeds our need !
