I never thought that I would be
A victim of hypocrisy
But day by day in every way
I see the role I’m meant to play.
Truth is I can’t remember when
We’ll have the chance to speak again
Though I shall wish you all the best
While begging God, control the rest !
The day is grim, the sky is gray
I wish the clouds would roll away
They are so dark and ominous
Predicting rain will pour on us
I cannot wait until the sun
Shines once again on everyone !
There is a thought that frequently
The world has so much more to see
If only you and I might be
Just part of life’s simplicity !
