The ocean’s full of frothy foam
That gathers under heaven’s dome
It splashes on the sandy shores
Receding into seaside floors
The seagulls exercise their wings
The pigeon struts and coos and sings
The osprey stretches from its perch
Expanding vision in his search !
We are asea, so far afloat
Without the aid of oar and boat
Awash upon the stormy sea
Lost victims of life’s mutiny.
Reach out, reach out to touch God’s hand
To take us to the promised land
Our arms outstretched to touch the shore
Find peace restored forevermore !
