There is a path that leads to God
The road is long, the way is hard
We none of us do know the date
When each is called to meet one’s fate.
The nature of our lives is such
That what we spend won’t matter much
Not if our hearts are full of cheer
For all the days throughout the year.
God stands with us and guides our way
We follow Him both night and day
Begging that we may always be
Part of His vast society !
Why are children so quiet now
There is no movement from the bough
No vital sounds that emanate
Amongst the guys that made us great ?
I see their faces all around
They do not smile or make much sound
There was a day we treasured all
And cringed whenever one did fall.
The times are changed as we can see
With values lost from infancy
Is there a way for some return
To speak and listen, read and learn ?
