Of all the things I miss the most
Those lengthy walks along the coast
Where one tred beaches on the shore
And climbed small dunes there by the score.
Wandering amongst seagrass plumes
While ocean roar veils salty spumes
To laugh and play upon each wave
And treasure all the joy it gave.
But that was oh, so long ago
Before the accident you know
Since then the ocean is taboo
Like hilly roads and hiking too.
I find myself confined a bit
There are those places I can’t fit
I still savour life to the core
Just not the same as life before !
