Sometimes our dreams just go astray
Or fickle fate gets in the way
Sometimes we’re stopped cold in our track
Seems like there is no turning back.
Sometimes it feels as though we’re trapped
And all our hope is lost or strapped
Sometimes the love we live each day
Does fade and die, perhaps decay.
There is no promise we may keep
Once we have slipt into last sleep
The best that’s left for us to do,
A grateful smile and bid adieu !
